Our eyes, ears, nose, and throat are how we connect to the outside world. We depend on them every second of every day to help us stay alert, nourished and alive. Even so, we often take them granted—that is until they are not functioning properly. Then we turn to medical professionals who have the skill to restore these precious sensory organs to health.

Medical care of the ears, nose, and throat is specialization of physicians called otolaryngologists, also known as ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialists. Otolaryngologists treat a wide variety of disorders of the ears, nose and throat, including breathing and sinus disorders, allergies, hearing problems, dizziness, swallowing difficulties, voice disturbances, and tumors in the head and neck. They may also perform cosmetic and facial plastic surgery procedures.

At one time or another, almost everyone has had a problem with their ears, nose or throat. Many of these problems are minor and usually go away with home treatment or over time. Others can have serious health consequences. For that reason, it is important to pay close attention to any persistent or unusual conditions that you may notice in your ears, nose, or throat when they arise and seek the advice of a physician before the problem becomes serious.

At ArthroCare ENT, we’re constantly developing new products and technologies to help physicians improve the outcome of ENT treatments and procedures—and make them more comfortable for patients. ArthroCare ENT products have been developed for a wide range of ENT applications, including tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, turbinate reduction, snoring treatment, sinus surgery, epistaxis treatment, and laryngeal surgery.
